Schwarzstorch / Black Stork

Schon zu Projektbeginn konnte man ihn gelegentlich am Himmel kreisen sehen: der Schwarzstorch liebt große und feuchtbiotopreiche Waldgebiete und wird von den großflächigen Wiedervernässungen des LIFE-Projektes sehr profitieren. Already during the beginning of the project you could sometimes see him flying around up in the sky: the black stork loves the forest areas of the wetland biotopes where he'll really benefit from the LIFE Project.

Bruchwasserläufer / Wood Sandpiper

Flußregenpfeifer / Little Ring Plover

Die selten gewordenen Bruchwasserläufer und Flussregenpfeifer finden in den durch Wasserstau entstehenden Flachwasserbereichen optimale Nahrungslebensräume. Wood Sandpipers and Little Ring Plovers got rare. Here they find optimal living conditions in the new shallow water areas constructed by the water dams.

Blaukehlchen / Bluethroat

Das Blaukehlchen ist schon jetzt im Projektgebiet beheimatet, ihr Lebensraum wird sich aber durch die Wiedervernässungsmaßnahmen deutlich erweitern. The Bluethroat is now already at home in the project area. Its habitat will be greatly enlarged from the rewetting actions.

Moorlandschaft / Bog Landscape

Nach Anstau werden stellenweise Flachwasser entstehen, die bis zu ihrer Verlandung wertvolle Lebensräume für Wasserinsekten wie z.B. Libellen sowie Amphibien und Wasser- und Röhrichtvögel bilden. After being dammed the shallow water areas are partly restored giving valuable habitats for water insects like dragonflies,  amphibians and water birds.
